ASUS ROG Reveals ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova Gaming Earbuds

ASUS are one of the leading names in the industry and their Republic of Gamers brand, aside from its very cheesy name, often commands a high premium and often delivers on that premium. Today they have revealed their latest premium product, the ROG Cetra True Wireless Speednova Earbuds

ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova

The ROG Cetra are True Wireless gaming earbuds which incorporate ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz wireless technology. This provides ultra-low-latency audio, a reliable connection, and optimised power efficiency in turn allowing these earbuds to provide up to 36 hours of battery life in 2.4 GHz mode and up to 46 hours in Bluetooth mode. As for the audio itself, the Cetra SpeedNova makes use of the LC3+ coded which delivers high-resolution 24-bit/96 kHz audio in 2.4 GHz mode, plus the Dirac Opteo technology offers rich details and accurate sound staging for “true-to-life” audio.

Further enhancing the audio is Adaptive ANC technology which makes real-time adjustments by constantly detecting how the earbuds are worn and how sound is reflected within the ear canal, resulting in personalized listening experiences. The ANC also reduces the distracting wind noise when on the move as well as other intrusive noises out and about. The earbuds also make use of Bone-conduction AI microphones which capture voice through the vibrations of the bones in the wearers head. Combine this with AI Noise Cancelling beamforming microphones to reduce background noise, leads to a natural sound with crystal-clear calls.

ASUS haven’t shared pricing for the Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova however the non SpeedNova Cetra earbuds are currently available on the ASUS store for $89.99 so I’ll guess a fair premium over that for the faster charging, stronger battery life and SpeedNova Wireless tech.
