ASUS ROG Ryou 240 AIO CPU Cooler Review

Performance
The ASUS ROG branding is well associated with providing high-performance products. With this in mind, we expected good results in terms of how it handles temperatures and were not disappointed. Despite this only being a 240 cooler, the ASUS ROG Ryou immediately finds itself near the top of the charts and beating out many larger AIO coolers easily.
A particular highly is how well this cooler handled the stock temperatures. An idle temperature of 24c is certainly very impressive as is the mere 51c at load. It doesn’t do quite as well when overclocked, but the results are still more than impressive for what is, again, only a 240 cooler.
If this cooler does have a downfall though, it’s the noise levels. These fans operate pretty much consistently at full-tilt. While they are certainly not the worse we have ever seen, they’re certainly amongst some of the more vocal coolers we’ve tested. At this point though, you do have to consider a balance. ASUS ROG is designed for high-performance and that, in cooling terms, doesn’t mean it should be quiet!
