A new ASUS AM4 motherboard which has yet to be announced appears on an Inet listing. The online retail website from Sweden lists this product as the ASUS Strix B350-I Gaming for 1899 Krona. Which is equivalent to around 165 GBP. The Strix B350-I uses a mini-ITX form factor an interesting layout that sets it apart from previous ASUS ITX boards.
ASUS Strix B350-I Gaming Features
It comes with a built-in 802.11AC Wi-Fi card pre-mounted along the rear IO. From here, users can attach the antenna available with the package.
There are four USB 3.0 ports at the rear (blue color) and two which are USB 3.1 Gen 2 (red color). Additional USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports are available via on-board headers. The only other port in the rear is a Gigabit LAN port from an Intel i211-AT.
From the rear view, it is also clear that the audio subsection is different from other ASUS boards. It uses the same SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio S1220A codec, but it is on a separate daughterboard, sitting above the motherboard PCB. This allows ASUS to mount more components without going over the 170mm x 170mm mini-ITX space. This has three 3.5mm analog audio jacks for up to 5.1 audio setups.
The specifications lists the board as having two Key M M.2 slots so it is possible one is underneath the covered area and/or in the back. The B350 chipset would also have to be underneath the daughterboard.
The Strix B350-I Gaming also has several Aura RGB LED features. Along the right edge are backlit RGB LEDs while the daughterboard cover also has a RoG logo that is illuminated. Two 4-pin RGB LED headers for LED strips are also available at the top edge.
