The new ASUS Republic of Gamers STRIX Fusion 300 headset which was announced last month is finally available for £99.99. The timing coincides with Gigabyte’s own new AORUS H5 which is coming out in the next few days. Both headsets have similarly sized 50mm drivers, although the RoG STRIX Fusion 300 uses Neodymium magnetic drivers rather than the AORUS’ beryllium.
Aside from sporting the usual red and black RoG colors, the STRIX Fusion 300 appears firmly comfortable. Having a fully padded band and massive full-coverage closed ear cups. As unnassuming as it may look, the STRIX Fusion 300 actually has a few tricks up its sleeve. This includes the ability to switch enable 7.1 virtual-surround on with a single button press. Enabling a richer and fuller experience, whether gaming or watching movies.
The combination of protein leather and breathable mesh also makes it more hygienic and comfortable than other headsets. The cloth padding on the ear provides 50% noise isolation and 30% more coverage than most headsets. Like the AORUS H5, the Fusion 300 distributes its 360g weight across evenly to prevent neck fatigue.
In terms of connectivity, the RoG STRIX 300 provides both USB and 3.5mm option. This lets users connect it to almost anything.
You should be able to find the RoG STRIX 300 gaming headsets in stores starting September 15 for £99.99 with VAT.
