The particular model we tested (the GL704G) comes provided with a 475GB NVMe SSD and a 1TB hard drive. This should provide more than enough storage space for the average gamer and, with the larger SSD capacity, also the option to prioritise a few of the games you play more often.
In terms of write/read speeds. The results were generally fairly standard for what we would expect from a laptop design. Fast, but not exactly blistering either. Unless you really pay attention to hard drive speeds, however, the chances are that you wouldn’t notice much practical difference.
