Price
As this is a high-specification laptop coming from one of the biggest brands, it’s hardly a surprise to hear that it isn’t inexpensive. At the time of writing the ASUS ROG Strix Scar III (G531GW) retails for a price in the region of £2,050 – (circa $2,300).
When you consider the technology offered inside this laptop, however, the price isn’t comparatively bad at all. Yes, it may not have the bells and whistles of the ASUS Zephyrus range, but the specification and performance are all there.
Performance
Despite the fairly substantial price tag, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar III (G531GW) has some highly-substantial levels of performance to back it up. For a laptop, ASUS has tried (with some success) to emulate a level of performance usually reserved for desktop systems.
As can clearly be seen in the benchmark results, this is an exceptionally powerful laptop. One that can easily handle a workload or a ton of gaming!
Design & Aesthetics
The ASUS Scar III has an excellent design and aesthetic that would look fantastic in any environment. Be it an office, coffee shop or at home. Admittedly, the RGB lighting effects could have afforded to be a little bolder, but that would perhaps have worked against that ‘universal’ ethic of the design.
When you get closer, however, you begin to notice far more of the little design touches that really help this laptop perform to its best potential.
Should I Buy One?
If you’re looking for a laptop that provides exceptionally high-levels of performance that would look good in any setting, then the ASUS Scar III is definitely it.
Coming at a price that is perhaps lower than you might expect (based on the excellent components inside) it may not have all of the bells and whistles offered by alternatives, but it’s sleek professional style and amazing performance gets a huge thumbs up from us!
