How Much Does it Cost?

Unfortunately at the time of writing, stock wasn’t available. However, we know in advance that the price is set to be around £149.99 in the UK and the equivalent in the US. That’s not cheap, but it’s in the ballpark of rival flagship keyboards from the likes of Logitech, Corsair, Razer, etc.

Overview

There’s a lot to love about this keyboard, there’s no doubt about that. There are a few minor things to keep in mind though, but overall, none of them are really deal breakers. ASUS should mention what switch type is included on the box, just for clarity. The custom size CTRL means aftermarket keycaps aren’t compatible, and the USB cable is hardwired, where a detachable one would have been preferred. Like I said, not a deal breaker in sight, but something to note regardless.

Performance

This keyboard is flawless, and while it performs just as good as any other Cherry MX equipped keyboard, there are subtle refinements that really edge it ahead of the competition. The durable aluminium top panel gives it a planted and rigid feed while working and gaming. Plus, the Fn-Lock is a real game changer for those who want all the extra functions but don’t want to have to keep leaning on the FN-Shift button. Plus, that larger control button isn’t exactly a revelation, but it really does make a difference. The fact they both made it bigger and more stable, all adds up while you’re playing FPS games.

Aesthetics And Beyond

Beyond that, the little details all add up here. The mixture of brushed and sandblasted aluminium really add some subtle style to the design. Plus, the properly fantastic RGB lighting is as good as you could ask for in today’s market. Heck, even the underside of the keyboard is fantastic to look at, even though you likely never will. Furthermore, the fun addition of a privacy button. It’s great for hiding your open windows from prying eyes.

Should I Buy One?

OK so £149.99 isn’t exactly pocket money when it comes to a keyboard. However, all the little extras add up in a big way here. You pay more, but you get more. When it comes down to it, you’ll be able to match this level of performance and build quality. However, you simply won’t beat it. Overall, I love it and you will too!
