ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-I Gaming WiFi Motherboard Review

ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-I Gaming WiFi

ASUS is one of the leading names in the world, having countless award-winning enthusiast-grade PC hardware releases spanning many years. While the new ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-I Gaming WiFi motherboard isn’t their most bleeding edge or extreme motherboard, some concessions have to be given to its size. Being mini-ITX is a very limiting factor for a motherboard, but ASUS are pretty legendary when it comes to cramming an insane level of hardware into such a small package, and the ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-I Gaming WiFi is no exception.

Equipped with a potent 10+2 VRM with 110A Power Stages, this little board should have no problem pushing big boost clocks on high-end Ryzen CPUs. You get support for the latest DDR5 memory with AMD Expo and AEMP, there’s a durable PCIe Gen 5.0 slot for next-gen graphics cards, and onboard Gen 5 M.2 for next-gen storage. You also get the latest USB4 Type-C ports and their innovative stacked array which houses an M.2 storage space, and additional heatsinks. You’ll find no audio jacks on the motherboard rear I/O though, instead, you get the ROG STRIX HIVE desktop unit with various system and audio controls, giving you unrivalled flexibility.

What ASUS Had to Say

“The ROG Strix X670E-I Gaming WiFi crams the latest tech into the diminutive mini-ITX footprint and then branches out with the ROG Hive to put vital controls and I/O at your fingertips. At motherboard level, PCIe 5.0 slots for graphics and storage ride alongside dual-channel DDR5 to bring large-scale bandwidth to games and CPU-intensive workloads. Heavyweight power delivery and vertically-stacked heatsinks crush thermals and lay a potent foundation for exclusive ROG overclocking tools to push performance boundaries. With all this and more, this tiny titan dishes up a space-saving AM5 build that allows you to comfortably host larger displays and a spread of ROG gaming peripherals on your desktop.”
