ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX502GW Laptop Review

3DMark Firestrike
With this laptop having such an impressive specification, we did expect some strong results and, put simply, it did not disappoint. Featuring a 9th-generation Intel 9750H processor, it was clearly an exceptionally strong performer and was only realistically beaten by desktop processors.
Unigine Superposition 1080p Extreme
With Unigine Superposition putting a focus on the graphical performance, the Nvidia 2070 clearly stands out as an excellent choice of graphics cards for this system. While this is, of course, the mobile version, it is still remarkably impressive in testing particularly when combined with that huge amount of RAM and strong processor at its disposal.
PCMark 10
In truth, while the PCMark 10 benchmark results were still impressive, they were not quite as high as we might have expected. It does sit within the similar processor score range seen in many competing systems, but in truth we had anticipated a score above 5000. 4743 is, however, close enough for us to still be happy here!
WPrime 32m and 1024m
Similar to the PCMark testing, WPrime found exceptionally solid, but a little lower than expected results. As you can see in this test, however, the margins are very thin and can, at a glance, be deceiving on the eye.
Cinebench R15
Testing both single and multiple core image rendering, the Intel 9750H proves that it is a monster when it comes to processing power. Doing much better than in prior benchmarking tests, we again find the ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX502GW near the top of the pile and rubbing shoulders with desktop systems.
Handbrake MP4 to MKV Conversion 4K
You are not necessarily going to buy an ASUS ROG Zephyrus to perform your video conversions on. Despite this, however, with a rate of 44.2 frames per second, it’s a lot faster than you might have expected.
While video editing is clearly not the most obvious strong suit for this laptop, such figures certainly don’t rule it out as a more than practical option either.
