Rather than outright gaming, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus is designed to be an especially practical high-performance laptop. With an Intel 8th-generation processor and Nvidia 2080 graphics card, it clearly means business and should pack a pretty hefty punch when it comes to gaming.
In terms of performance from a laptop, the results were clearly impressive. While not topping our lists it’s not far off either and is largely only beaten by specific (desktop) systems. It should be made clear that mobile versions of graphics cards do not have the same performance levels as desktop models. As such, you do have to take any direct comparisons with a pinch of salt. For just how close the ASUS ROG Zephyrus gets to the top, however, it’s clearly impressive stuff!
