ASUS Rolls Out ROG Sica Mouse and Whetstone Mouse Pad

Asus has just released the Republic of Games Sica optical gaming mouse, featuring an ambidextrous design ideal for fingertip grip gamers, and Whetstone mouse pad, featuring a silicone-fabric construction, perfect for smooth and precise mouse control.

The company looks like it had its inspiration from the Mayan culture for these two products, having them feature Mayan markings and (of course) the ROG colour scheme. Users can buy these products with confidence since ROG had Taipei Assassins, a professional eSports team, test out the products to ensure they perform exceptionally in the gaming arena.

The ROG Sica has a compact, ambidextrous design optimized for multiplayer online battle arena gamers that require a strong grip. It looks to feature an independent two-button and single clickable scroll-wheel, along with durable Omron switches. Also, the left and right mouse buttons seem to be separate from the main mouse body to reduce travel distance and improve button tactility and responsiveness, having the Sica also featuring an improved exclusive easy-swap switch socket design lets users customize click resistance.

In terms of performance, the ROG Sica’s optical sensor tracks up to 5000 DPI, having a speed of up to 130-inches per second and 30g acceleration that is said to give users swift, pixel-precise mouse tracking. It also comes with the Armoury software that lets users customize button functions, performance settings, and ROG logo light effects. The ROG Sica is stated to have an iron-gray and red color scheme, a glowing ROG logo and intricate Mayan-stenciled side panels, a gold-plated USB 2.0 connector and low-friction Teflon feet.

The ROG Whetstone mouse pad is said to have a non-slip, odourless silicone base and an intriguing Mayan-inspired textured black fabric surface designed for precise mouse tracking and control. ROG has made the mouse pad extremely portable, featuring a rollable design that makes it easy to pack and bring to LAN parties or eSpots events.

The mouse pad also features a 2mm tick design, incorporates the latest 8-stage bonding and heat-sealing techniques, a special water-resistant coat that allows easy cleaning. Last but not least, is built for extensive use, having ROG guaranteeing that the rounded edges resist fraying and creasing for always-smooth mouse tracking.
