Asus Sabertooth X79 Motherboard Preview

The Sabertooth X79 board seems to follow on the success of other TUF series boards that we’ve seen from Asus whilst adding in a lot of new and unique features, such as the BIOS button, active cooling solution and eight memory slots.
It’s still aimed at giving users the best stability through use of the very best components and with a military style colour scheme, it’s certainly unique, which is what existing fans have come to love in the first place.
Whilst we can’t mention anything about the performance or what Intel have done in terms of the chipset, things look very promising and the board has an overall nice layout. We’ve seen this board first hand in action and it instantly got us excited about it, and we can’t wait to make you feel the same when the NDA lifts and we can show you exactly what this board can do in terms of it’s features that Asus have implemented, as well as anything new that Intel may have incorporated too.
One key area that we’re also keen to show is how it overclocks, as we also have the Rampage IV Extreme to look at, so we’re hoping to provide a good comparison and that the Sabertooth X79 is still worthy in terms of offering the very best performance overall, at a price point to suit.
All we can ask of you, is to stay tuned as we will be the first to get this board benchmarked and ready for the launch, and who knows, we might show you something you never expected.
