ASUS STRIX GAMING GTX 1060 Graphics Card Review

Rise of the Tomb Raider

In Rise of the Tomb Raider, the GPU is in a different league to the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 480 OC and even manages to defeat the XFX R9 Fury X.

After setting the resolution to 1440p, the ASUS STRIX GAMING GTX 1060 OC doesn’t falter and outputs a slightly better average frame-rate than the GTX 980. Interestingly, the minimum frame-rate is much better than the GTX 980 and this will become apparent when viewing both benchmarking runs.

Unfortunately, the graphics card struggles with the strenuous demands of 4K gaming but this is to be expected.
