Aside from the Radeon RX 580, RX 570, as well as the budget RX 550 graphics cards recently launched, AMD also has the Radeon RX 560. This is based on Polaris 11 GPU with 1024 streaming processors (less than half of the RX 580). As one of AMD’s Radeon partners, ASUS put their own spin on the Polaris 11 GPU releasing the Radeon RX 560 STRIX and the RX 560 STRIX OC. The ASUS STRIX Radeon RX 560 uses two IP5X dust-proof fans, similar to what ASUS uses with the rest of their STRIX video card line. It is capable of turning off when the load is minimal for complete silence. Other than the active cooling solution, a dual 6mm nickel-plated heatpipe feeding an aluminum heatsink block takes away heat from the GPU core so the dual fans can dissipate it.
AS with all ASUS STRIX graphics cards, the STRIX Radeon RX 560 uses custom Super Alloy Power II components. Utilizing a 4+1 phase VRM design. There is a DVI-D display connector in the rear, with one HDMI and one DisplayPort as well. Since this is a dual-slot video card solution, the entire top of the rear IO is open for ventilation. Users can also customize the RGB lighting integrated into the shroud, which is a backlit ASUS Republic of Gamers logo. The GPU core clocks are not known yet. However, the memory clocks run at 7000MHz and it will be available in 4GB without a 2GB variant for now.
