Networking Performance
Ethernet
On another note, the ASUS STRIX X99 Gaming’s network interface offers superb TCP speeds and the UDP rate is very solid. Please note, the software wasn’t displaying CPU loads correctly which means we couldn’t include that piece of information.
WiFi
When it comes to WiFi speeds, the results vary dramatically on your networking configuration which means providing an indication of performance can be tricky. Despite this, judging by our previous testing, the motherboard fares pretty well on a 2.4GHz connection.
Using the 5GHz bandwidth protocol allows for a superb TCP speed but the UDP result was well below par. I ran the benchmark numerous times, attempted analysing the network and re-installing the software to find a better speed, but nothing changed.
