ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi D4 Motherboard Review

I’ve been a long-time fan of the ASUS TUF series of products, as they often offer up much of the high-end thrills of the flagship RoG series hardware, but (mostly) at a more affordable price point. They’re not really designed to be more affordable though, it’s actually TUF as in TOUGH, they’re usually built to a high standard for durability, and also thematically tie in well with other TUF Gaming hardware from ASUS, but also the wider TUF Gaming Alliance, which sees hardware from Antec, Cooler Master, InWin, Silverstone and more joining forces to create hardware that’s all compatible with each other and that looks great together.
ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi D4
The new ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi D4 is certainly well equipped though, and obviously, as part of the Z-series chipset for it comes with all the high-end features and connectivity you might expect. There’s a potent 16+1DrMOS power stages, which are each rated to handle 60 Amps with high-side and low-side MOSFETS, and a decent VRM cooling configuration to support the latest and greatest Intel CPUs power requirements. This is a DDR4 variant too, so if you’re not ready to invest extra in the new memory platform, but you still want the latest CPUs, this is an enticing option for you.
