Asus has recently showed off a 29″ frame-less edge-to-edge display with a 2560 x 1080 resolution (21:9 aspect ratio) at CES 2013.
The panel has a 178 degree viewing angle horizontally and vertically. This is an ultra-slim profile panel with HDMI, Dual-Link DVI, DisplayPort, headphone and PC Audio-In jacks. There is also onboard speakers on the panels with Asus’ Sonicmaster technology, that was co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower. They are set to be released in Q1 2013 with MSRP of $599.
The VG248QE 24″ is a 1080p panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz and supports Nvidia’s 3D Vision 2 and 1ms grey-to-grey response time. However, these are TN panels, as pointed out by PC Perspective.
