ASUS Unveils The ROG Horus GK2000 at an Eye Watering Price

ASUS has established itself as one of the leading names in the technology industry and produces a wide range of products including motherboards, graphics cards, monitors and peripherals. The company’s latest product, the ROG Horus GK200, is a mechanical keyboard featuring Cherry MX switches. Additionally, the product employs a stylish metal finish, supports N-Key rollover, scroll-wheel controls and contains customizable LED backlighting. Unfortunately, it seems the lighting can only be displayed in red and doesn’t take advantage of RGB technology.

On another note, the ASUS ROG Horus GK200 has an integrated 32-bit micro-programmed control unit with 4MB of onboard memory. Additionally, an intuitive ROG user interface allows you to configure macros and various function keys within a single press. Aesthetically speaking, the keyboard is probably going to divide opinion and I’m not really sold on the design.

In terms of pricing, the ASUS ROG Horus GK200 is unbelievably expensive and has a pre-order price of £179.99 from Overclockers UK. This is more than Ducky keyboards and even the premium Corsair K95 RGB models. I cannot fathom why this keyboard costs nearly £200 and think it’s a major error on ASUS’ part.

What do you think of the ASUS ROG Horus GK200?
