ASUS WS Pro Z390 Motherboard Review

Overclocking

Just like the other Z390 motherboards we tested, the WS Pro had no issues hitting 5 GHz on all-cores of our i9-9900K. The difference in overclocking performance seems to be the ones with the most robust cooling and power delivery hardware. This ensures less overheating, and less throttling.

The WS Pro was a small boost in the 3DMark score from 23694 to 23982. This puts it in-line with the other premium Z390 motherboards; all of which are the fastest 3DMark scores we’ve had to date. Given its focus on workstation tasks, I’m also happy to see it post the fastest WPrime score we’ve had for any Z390 motherboard, at just 78.079 for 1020M; this gives ASUS the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fastest WPrime scores for Z390! While CineBench didn’t take the top spot, it did post 219 on single core, and 2190 for all-cores, which is certainly impressive and up there with the fastest models.
