Cinebench
The ASUS X99-A II recorded very impressive Cinebench scores and wasn’t too far off attaining first place. Furthermore. it’s particularly strong during single-core workloads.
Once overclocked, the motherboard maintains its strong showing and was just eclipsed by MSI’s current flagship. This is superb when you factor in the huge price difference between these products.

When calculating Pi, the motherboard performed brilliantly and obtained the best compute time we’ve encountered thus far. As you can see, it’s a monumental improvement over the original X99-A.
Applying the overclock doesn’t negatively impact on the motherboard’s positioning and showcases how well it fares in both overclocked and stock usage scenarios.

The next CPU benchmark demonstrates how close it is between a number of leading X99 motherboards. Once again, the X99-A II remained very competitive and only fell behind by a minuscule amount during the Whetstone Aggregate test.
Overclocking the CPU doesn’t really impact on the motherboard’s ranking and there’s very little to choose between the top results. Nevertheless, this doesn’t detract from the product’s strong showing and ability to compete with more expensive models.
