Linear Read
Unfortunately, the ASUS X99-A II posted disappointing M.2 read speeds and plummets into bottom place. On a more positive note, the SATA speeds were good and USB 3.0 performance is worthy of praise.
Linear Write
When it comes to linear write performance, the motherboard fares much better and remains within an acceptable distance of the mid-table results. In an ideal world, I’d like to see it near the higher end, but it’s not enough to warrant any concern. Thankfully, the SATA and USB 3.0 numbers are very good and demonstrate the motherboard’s storage abilities.
