ASUS X99 Motherboard Launch Coverage

Final Thoughts
The ASUS X99 line-up looks very impressive, it is also refreshing to see the lengths ASUS will go to to make innovations that are outside the box – ASUS are normally the trend-setters rather than the trend-followers and they’ve demonstrated that to be the case again. Given the extremely high-end nature of these products we certainly expect the ASUS X99 line-up to hit a niche market compared to their Z97 offerings, but we expect ASUS will do very well in the Intel X99 HEDT (High End Desktop) market as they always have done in the past. As this is X99 launch day we certainly look forward to bringing you our reviews of X99 motherboard offerings from ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte and MSI. It will be interesting to see just how well the ASUS OC socket stacks up against rival vendors when we bring overclocking into the mix. We are also taking this opportunity to show you the capabilities of Intel’s first ever consumer 8 core processor, the Core i7 5960X, and how DDR4 performs on the first consumer DDR4 platform – so be sure to check those reviews out on our site too.
Please stay tuned for all our X99, Haswell-E and DDR4 coverage over the coming weeks – there’s going to be lots of it! Let us know what your thoughts are on the ASUS X99 line-up. Are you considering an X99 system? If so which motherboard and CPU would you choose?
Thank you to ASUS for hosting this X99 technical seminar event.
