CINEBENCH is a real-world cross platform test suite that evaluates your computer’s performance capabilities. As I was expecting from the limited power phases and my previous experience with the P8 series boards, the 4+1 power phase array does limit this board a little when at stock CPU speeds. Overclocking however does eliminate this bottle neck and the board soon brings itself back in line with other boards of a similar nature.
Super PI
Super PI is a computer program that calculates pi to a specified number of digits after the decimal point—up to a maximum of 32 million. It uses Gauss–Legendre algorithm and is a Windows port of the program used by Yasumasa Kanada in 1995 to compute pi to 232 digits.
SuperPI did record a time that was slightly slower than expected, but this is only a fraction off the average time, with the critical factor in this type of benchmark being the CPU itself – less the board.
