BIOS
The ASUS UEFI BIOS is still one of the best in the motherboard industry. My personal preference is towards ASUS, mainly because it is simple to use and I know my way around it. ASUS also strike a great balance between offering both simplicity and complexity. If you want to just do simple things you can, if you want the more complicated and advanced options you can also get those. The EZ Mode offers that that really simple layout if that’s what you prefer.
The advanced mode opens up the more conventional UEFI BIOS we are used to with a wide variety of options categorised under tabbed headings.
For most people AI Tweaker will be the first place they visit. Here you can overclock, set XMP profiles, and tinker with a tonne of CPU and other performance options.
If you need even more advanced CPU options you can get those in the advanced tab along with options for your PCI, SATA, USB and other onboard devices.
The monitor section is where you will want to go to tune fan speed profiles.
Anyone looking to flash their BIOS will probably want to do so using the EZ Flash 2 utility, or of course you can use the USB BIOS Flashback feature if you don’t want to do it from within the BIOS.
