ASUS’s Quad Slot Noctua Card Is Back With 4080 SUPER

One of the most interesting GPU designs of the past few years was ASUS’s collaboration with Noctua combining ASUS’s expertise in high performance GPUs with Noctua’s expertise in cooling and their signature brown colours. This high end and THICK card is back again with the release of the RTX 4080 SUPER.

ASUS x Noctua RTX 4080 SUPER

The ASUS x Noctua RTX 4080 SUPER is essentially the same as the previous models with its quad slot thickness, owl like looks and iconic brown colour scheme. It offers powerful cooling with the two 120mm Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans that have been strapped to a heatsink and vapor chamber originally designed for the TUF model with some modifications. It’s best known for its noise efficiency offering quiet operation with a 0dB mode and features a Dual BIOS switch for quiet and performance BIOS options. ASUS have given this card a factory overclock to 2640 MHz, 90 MHz higher than NVIDIA’s reference clocks.

  • Powered by NVIDIA DLSS3, ultra-efficient Ada Lovelace arch, and full ray tracing.
  • 4th Generation Tensor Cores: Up to 4X performance with DLSS 3 vs. brute-force rendering
  • 3rd Generation RT Cores: Up to 2X ray tracing performance
  • OC Edition: 2640 MHz (OC mode)/ 2610 MHz (Default mode)
  • Two Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans deliver exceptional cooling and low noise.
  • Optimized vapor chamber efficiently wicks heat into a large fin array
  • Dual BIOS switch lets you toggle between Quiet and Performance BIOS profiles sans software.
  • 0dB technology lets you enjoy light gaming in relative silence.
  • GPU Tweak III provides intuitive performance tweaking, thermal controls, and system monitoring.

Where Can I Learn More?

Of course being ASUS, this card won’t be cheap, we can probably expect a hefty price premium over the £999 MSRP likely to a point where it’s the same price as the standard $1,200 RTX 4080.
