The Packaging
The ASUSTOR AS4004T packaging is filled with information on all sides. The front starts with the feature highlights as well as the specifications and package content. All the most vital information in one place.
The rear side has some of the supported features such as file sharing and server options listed in various languages.
The two sides tell us more about the operating system and mobile companion apps as well as a description of the unit and the ease of usage.
The front cover of the NAS is more sensitive to scratches than the rest, simply due to the material difference. As such, ASUSTOR protected the cover with a plastic film.
Included Accessories
Inside the box, you#ll find a power adapter with a fitting cable. Which type of power cable is included will depend on the region you purchased the NAS in.
Since the drive trays offer tool-less installation, you won’t find any screws for 3.5″ drives within the box. But there is a full set of screws for 2.5″ drives along with a welcome guide and a setup disk. While disks are rare these days thanks to the internet. But I do like them to be included with such devices as NAS as they’re not neccessarily set up to connect to the internet.
You also get a full set of network cables. There are two Gigabit and one multi-Gigabit capable cables in the box.
Specifications
The specifications are taken directly from the manufacturer’s home page. You can find it here where there also might be more information.
