ASUSTOR is a pioneering company which specialises in network attached storage and video surveillance solutions. Their back catalogue is really impressive and resulted in a great deal of consumer confidence. The company’s latest product is the AS6212RD, a mammoth 12-bay rackmount NAS designed for heavy enterprise scenarios. Additionally, the device has four USB ports which can be deployed to maximise the usefulness of existing equipment, data and resources. Rather impressively, each drive bay can support the highest capacity hard disks on the market (10TB). Not only that, businesses can take advantage of ASUSTOR’s MyArchive cold backup technology to effectively achieve unlimited storage. In particular, MyArchieve has the ability to archive data and free up space.
The AS6212RD employs the ADM operating system which features a really easy to use interface. This helps staff to use the device rather quickly and have an increased level of productivity. Simple wizards are provided which gently guide users to complete configurations in a few simple steps. Also, the data backup configuration and network security management isn’t overwhelming and made easy thanks to the software. On another note, ASUSTOR incorporates a variety of RAID options which helps companies to adopt a high level of data protection. Similarly, the drive trays are locked which stop them from popping out accidentally and resulting in data loss.
Johnny Chen, Product Manager at ASUSTOR said about the new rackmount:
“A premium device perfect for enterprise, the AS6212RD combines remarkable software with stable, yet high performance hardware,”
“The dual built-in power supplies ensure continuous operation in the event of sudden power outages, giving administrators sufficient time to decide on proper contingency measures. We are confident that the AS6212RD will become a new enterprise favorite.”
