Atari's Collection of Retro Games is Now Available

Those of you who enjoy playing retro games will be glad to know that Atari has recently launched its Atari Vault collection on Steam. This collection comprises over 100 classic games, most of which were originally designed for the Atari 2066 console. Some of the most noteworthy titles include Double Dunk, Millipede, Dodge-Em, Sub Commander, Outlaw and Super Breakout, but it’s also worth keeping in mind that there are several arcade games included in the pack as well. Furthermore, games such as Centipede can be played using a Steam controller, which sounds interesting to say the least.

The Atari Vault is currently available on Steam, and it doesn’t even cost too much at $16.99. However, this price is expected to rise to $19.99 after March 31, when the introduction offer expires. The only downside to this pack is that it is only compatible with Windows operating systems. It looks like its system requirements ask for Windows 7, 8.1, or 10, a 2.0 Ghz processor, 2GB of RAM and a graphics card that supports OpenGL 2.0 or higher as well as DirectX 11. Considering the sheer number of retro games that it includes, I’d say that this pack is quite a bargain right now, and just in case you’re looking for a bit of nostalgia, you might want to consider giving it a try.
