Authorities Decide to Deactivate a Biohacker’s Implanted Transit Pass

The biohacker now wants to sue his local government.

Ok, so this story might sound a bit weird at first, so bear with me. Back in 2016, a man that goes by the legal name of Meow-Ludo Disco Gamma Meow-Meow became a candidate running in the federal election for the Science Party in Grayndler. He’s actually a molecular biologist, and it looks like he cares a lot about the future and the science associated with it. More importantly, he cares about humanity’s interaction with future technologies. By now, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he had a transit pass implanted in his arm a while ago. He made the news with this daring decision as well.

However, local authorities have decided to disable said transit pass, which didn’t sit too well with Meow-Meow.

This isn’t the only electronic implant in his body.

The biohacker also has an electronic component in his body that helps him store important documents. As for the lawsuit that he plans to file against local authorities, it’s anyone’s guess how it’s going to turn out. Since not many people insert chips under their skin, laws and regulations are a bit difficult to interpret. What’s clear is that Meow-Meow’s chip wasn’t registered to him, which means he was able to use it for almost an entire year. Authorities decided to disable the transit pass after he returned to Australia from a cyborg convention in the US. Here is the biohacker’s official statement when talking to the Australian Associated Press:

“This is case law in creation and it’s fun to be at the centre of this. This is a scenario so unusual that their lawyers never foresaw this happening because, if they did, they would have written it in there.”

Meow-Meow is already in trouble for riding a train without a valid ticket. He needs to appear in Sydney court in March in order to contest the $200 fine that resulted from this. Clearly, he’s not exactly the most law-abiding citizen out there.

Others would say that he’s actively trying to push boundaries or raise awareness. Whatever the case, he’s got an interesting lawsuit ahead of him.
