AVerMedia Announces Tiny CN311-H 4K M.2 Capture Card
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
AVerMedia has a new capture card that is capable of 4096 x 2160 30fps recording that surprisingly fits in an M.2 2260 form factor. The CN311-H has an HDMI 1.4a connector and can capture 10-bit 4K video that is good enough for medical imaging, accurately capturing color and detail. Its M.2 size makes it ideal for embedded systems as it can fit almost anywhere compared to PCIe cards. The M.2 form factor also makes it compatible for rugged applications such as in-vehicle or military use. It is also available in M.2 2280 form factor with the HDMI cable connecting via a micro coaxial connector cable.
AVerMedia CN311-H Features
The CN311-H’s hardware-based video engine technology implements practical video processing functions. This includes de-interlacing images, color space conversion, and resolution scaling. This, together with various HDMI signal optimizations, cuts down input lag and overall workload. It uses PCIe gen2 x2 host interface and records in single-channel mode.
The AVerMedia CN311-H also comes with a video-processing SDK. This allows industrial customers to develop applications for device control, media capture, A/V processing and more. It also allows users to tweak various codecs’ compression and decompression settings to optimize performance. It supports Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, with a Linux driver coming soon.
