Avexir MPower Series DDR3 2400MHz 8GB Review

Given these are Core series modules under the skin, re-branded for the MPower, we find them shipped in core series packaging to save wasting time with new fancy designs. After all the money is in the kit, not the pack its shipped in.

As we’ve noted already the MPower series kits use identical styling to what we find on some of MSI’s motherboards and graphics cards with the black topped off with a yellow band that bends and splits to two smaller bars. To follow this theme through, we also see a black PCB underneath.

On the other side we find the same styling with the only Avexir branding being right at the top of the heat spreaders. Like the Core series, the MPower features the blue LEDs the pulse to module activity.

Keeping information short and sweet, we can see the sticker detailing this is a 4GB x2 kit (8GB total) running on a DDR3 platform at 2400MHz CAS10 at 1.65v – the high voltage indicating good potential for overclocking.
