CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Read
The system’s SSD boot drive delivers superb read speeds despite being edged by rival products sporting similar SATA-based drives. Of course, the performance isn’t akin to NVMe M.2 solutions but this is to be expected and reflected in the major price difference. The secondary hard disk performs well and scored the best sequential read speed thus far. Unfortunately, the USB 3.0 speeds were lacklustre but it’s not enough to cause the end-user any complications.
CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Write
The Samsung 850 EVO’s write rate is competitive and a major improvement compared to the less performance orientated model included in the Zoostorm Inferno. Also, the mechanical disk outputted a laudable write result while the USB 3.0 rate remained solid.
