Acoustic, Power & Thermal Performance
Acoustic Performance
During idle usage scenarios, the AWD-IT Valyrian is louder than I’d hope and even emits more noise than many systems running a demanding benchmark. Once stressed, the noise increases considerably and it’s quite difficult to acclimatise to even after a few days use.
Power Consumption
The system’s lack of power hungry components creates a very low total wattage under full load. As you can see, it consumes significantly less power than higher-end alternatives utilising the GTX 1080. When you consider the CPU has been overclocked to 4.5GHz, the power consumption is truly impressive.
Thermal Performance
Even though a hefty CPU overclock has been applied, it doesn’t impact on stability and the liquid cooler is able to maintain extremely low temperatures. On another note, the GPU’s proficient Winforce cooling apparatus is fantastic and allows the core to run at a modest 53C average.
