AYANEO Reveals Its New Retro Inspired Mini PC Powered By AMD Ryzen

If you’re craving something a bit retro for your next PC, AYANEO might just have something to tackle that itch with their newly announced Retro Mini PC AM01.

AYANEO Retro Mini PC AM01

AYANEO are quite a big name in the handheld and Mini PC space who today have announced, on Indiegogo their latest Mini PC featuring a Retro design. The design resembles the original Apple Macintosh though of course is packed up with more relevant hardware and the display is only decoration but does feature the classic smiley face. The little rainbow logo is there alongside the floppy drive bay which appears to act as the power button. Users can also customise the unit with the included decorative magnetic pieces to give it a bit of flair.

The PC is powered by either the Ryzen 7 5700U or the older Ryzen 3 3200 which come in barebones models as well as models pre-equipped with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Users can expand storage themselves with M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 SSDs, a 2.5″ SATA drive, as well as up to 64GB of DDR4 memory on the 5700U model and 32GB on the 3200U model. This hardware is cooled by a high-performance four copper tube heat conduction structure with a 35W large high-pressure turbo fan.

Despite its small size, the retro is well equipped with a robust I/O for all your basic needs and accessories. The front side features a USB 3.2 Type-C Port alongside a 3.5mm combo audio jack. The rear of the unit features the rest of the I/O including a Gigabit Ethernet port, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a single USB 2.0 port, and both a HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4 ports enabling up to two displays.

Price and Availability

The Retro Mini PC AM01 is available through an IndieGoGo campaign with early bird pricing and an expected shipping in December. All of the pricing information is listed below and further information on the IndieGoGo Page.
