Baldurs Gate 3 is probably the most successful game launch of this year, though that wasn’t difficult to achieve as all they had to do was launch a game without bugs and game-breaking issues. Fortunately, Larian Studios went beyond just releasing a working game and also created a game that fans love leading it to receive not 1 but 7 Golden Joystick Awards.
Baldurs Gate 3 Wins 7 Golden Joystick Awards
The 41st annual Golden Joystick Awards was hosted yesterday in person at the Royal Lancaster in London which celebrated the past year’s best game releases. Baldurs Gate 3 was among these awards and has taken away 7 including Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Studio of the Year, Best Game Community, PC Game of the Year, Best Supporting Performer Neil Newborn, and the big Ultimate Game of The Year. Larian must be proud to take all of that home with them that’s quite the roster.
Other winners of awards included Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty for Best Game Expansion, Final Fantasy XVI With Best Audio & Best Lead Performer for Ben Starr. Starfield, the other big launch of the year took away Xbox game of the Year and Resident Evil 4 took away PlayStation Game of the Year, must have been a very poor year for PlayStation for a remaster to take the award. No Man’s Sky is Still Receiving Awards with the Still Playing Award.
The full details of the award winners and the runners-up were shared by gamesradar who were presenting the event. Additionally, there is a page on Steam where you can view all of the nominees some of which are on sale.
