Baldur’s Gate 3 is a gaming sensation, now ranking as the highest-reviewed game of all time, or at least, it is for now, it’s still got to stand the test of time to claim that title. It has gameplay that offers some of the most unique and well-crafted story choices I’ve ever seen. It’s not even a type of game I really like, but it’s just so well made, it’s hard not to get drawn in. Now the developers at Larian Studios have released the latest hotfix, helping alleviate some of the issues gamers have been having.
Baldur’s Gate Hotfix 4 fixes a few crashes and bugs, as you might expect. However, I do love that this game hasn’t had any overly dramatic issues which often plague such big game releases… really, other developers need to go sit on the naughty step. What’s crazy, is that Larian Studios also revealed that Patch 1 will have over 1000 fixes and tweaks, and they already have plans for a Patch 2, but we’ll update you on their upcoming release date as we have more information. However, we do know that Larian has been listening to their community as to what needs fixing.
“Gather your party and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power. Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a mind flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil. From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.” – Steam
If you want to download the update, just load up your preferred client (most likely Steam), and it’ll download the update automagically.
Are you playing Baldur’s Gate 3? And if not, why not!? Because it really is a marvel to see a game with no season passes, no battle pass, no DLC (as yet), no expansion packs, microtransactions or loot boxes, that’s just well made and ready to rock… it’s like gaming used to be.
