When the original Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn launched back in September 2000, it quickly became one of the most celebrated Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying video game of its time. On November 15th, gamers new and old will be able to relive that experience in the epic continuation and conclusion of the Bhaalspawn Saga.
Of course we’ve been able to get the old game up and running on our computers with a little software tinkering, but the new edition will bring the game up to speed to meet the requirements of modern operating systems and gaming hardware. With full high resolution support and area art remastered from the original renders the game has never looked so good, so even if your new to the series, or just want to revisit some classic gaming memories, there never has been a better time to do it.
Set in Wizards of the Coast’s iconic Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe, Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition includes the adventures Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal. In addition to improved graphics and gameplay, the Enhanced Edition bundles four new allies for your party, each with unique quest storylines. Also bundled in the Enhanced Edition: The Black Pits 2: Gladiators of Thay, an arena challenge that puts players’ tactical skills to the ultimate test.
