Bandai Namco Bringing KLONOA Series to Switch and PC!

The moment I see the name KLONOA I get the theme tune stuck in my head. It’s one of those game franchises I always felt went under the radar for too many people. It was an obscure platformer on the PlayStation 1. Heck, I think my original copy was a pirated copy from a dodgy bloke on the estate, it was in Japanese and do you know what, I didn’t care because it was just so much fun. I’ve since bought legitimate copies though, so that’s progress for you. I’m happy to say I’ll soon be buying it for the Switch and no doubt for PC shortly after that too, as Bandai Namco (didn’t that used to be Namco Bandai, when did they swap it around?) has just revealed the return of the two classics.

KLONOA

Bandai Namco announced that KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series will be coming to the Nintendo Switch as a timed exclusive, but also revealed that it will come to PC soon after that. KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series will feature KLONOA: Door to Phantomile and KLONOA 2: Lunatea’s Veil remastered in one collection.

In order to celebrate this announcement, Bandai Namco has also released the first gameplay trailer for this collection. However, to celebrate, I’m going to dust off my PlayStation 1 and fire up the original. If anyone sees Andy on Discord, just tell him I’m busy working on tomorrows reviews.

Check out the video below. Plus, if you’ve ever played the game, shout out in the comments, surely I’m not alone in my excitement here!? Wa-hoo!

It looks like the game is set to launch on July 8th 2022, so we don’t have long to wait.
