We told you yesterday that Telltale’s new Batman game has received a lot of negative reviews on Steam, as many users have been reporting various gameplay bugs as well as horrible performance issues. Considering the fact that we’re talking about a game with modest graphics that aims to shine through storytelling, one shouldn’t have to worry about frames per second too much, but when the game dips to 10 FPS during a simple conversation, things can get annoying really fast. It’s worth noting that some users have reportedly finished the first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series without too many issues, but Telltale has decided to release the first patch for the game in order to resolve its main issues.
The patch came rather quickly, and it apparently forces the title to run on a dedicated graphics card at all times, which could solve some of its performance issues. Furthermore, it also includes new graphics settings for Higher Performance Textures or Higher Quality Textures, which doesn’t sound bad at all. The patch can be auto-downloaded from Steam, and as long as it fixes the game’s performance, we’re confident that it will also influence the title’s Steam ratings in a positive way.
