I really liked the first Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. It was a very interesting game to play, at least for me, and I remember that I struggled quite a bit with some missions. However, what I liked about it the most is that it was different. It was a breath of fresh air, probably because it was based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe. That game came out in 2016, and at the time of writing, it has a rather disappointing 6/10 review score on Steam. Fortunately, just two years later, Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos Interactive have announced the second installment of this space-set RTS.
In one word: better. It will be larger, more complex, and more ambitions. It will comprise all 12 factions from the original tabletop game and its Armada expansion, at launch. This means that the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and Tyranids will all be there. For now, all we have to show you is the reveal trailer. However, more features will be unveiled during the upcoming Le What’s Next de Focus event on February 7-8.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is scheduled for a 2018 release.
