The BBC has launched a ‘digital showcase’ called BBC Taster. The new website is like a public testing lab for all of the corporation’s latest online experiments.
The site offers visitors the opportunity to test out new online services being developed inside the BBC. The corporation is asking for feedback on the services and is encouraging users to ask their friends to take part too via Social Media.
There’s a load of interesting and quirky projects on the site, such as ‘Your Story’. This is a site that scans the years of online BBC News articles to create a timeline of events that occurred during your life. From the day of your birth to the day you were first allowed to vote, the site crafts an interesting look at national and international events.
There’s plenty more to check out on the site, including projects that tie in with your favourite BBC shows.
See them all at BBC Taster.
