The BBC News app on iOS and Android is finally receiving a redesign since its launch in 2010. The app was starting to look a little out of date and certainly lacked functionality compared to its mobile website.
Well now it looks a lot better, with plenty of new features too. It includes an ‘Update Now’ feature which allows you to follow specific news topics that you’re interested in. It’ll also tailor stories to your previously read articles and content.
The new app will also provide direct access to the BBC News Channel, allowing you to watch live and to catch up – two things that meant going to the iPlayer app before.
The app will be available to UK users in the next few days and for users around the world in the next few months.
