Be Quiet! announces two new Pure Power PSUs

Be quiet!, one of the few companies specializing in quiet power supplies have today announced a new product as well as a refresh: the latest L8 generation of PSUs and two refreshed versions of the L7.
Available in a total of four different models, ranging from 430 to 730 Watts, the new L8 combines the best of most of its predecessors. The engineers were specifically told to make something efficient, stable, reliable and quiet all of which at a good price point.
The first thing we notice is be quiet!’s notorious 120mm SilentWing fans to insure the cooling of the unit in near silence along with the low noise fan grill to reduce it even further.
All are certified to “80Plus Bronze” with continuous efficiency of up to 88%. Being semi-modular, the cable management is just what you need to take the mess of cable out of the airflow’s way. Featuring up to four PCI-Express connectors, the new L8 is also fitted with the latest safety protection to avoid any problem; over current, over voltage, under voltage, short circuit, over power and over temperature protection (respectively OCP, OVP, UVP, SVP, OPP and OTP), all of which can become deadly to a computer and may create costly damage.
“For the first time in our ten years we are able to offer consumers a lineup of cable management enabled PSUs that provide price/performance features which are second to none in the industry!” said Oleg Ushkats, the director of the product development team. “Additionally they give users proven be quiet! silencing technology that is up to a stunning 10 dB(A) quieter than similarly positioned models from the competition, even those with 140mm fans, at full load. They are significantly quieter at real world usage, too.”
The L7 on the other hand has been worked through following the specific criteria of their costumers, something always appreciatable, and has a matter of fact, has created two new versions, a 630 and a 730 Watts, thus expanding the L7 family to six models total starting at 300 to 730 Watts, enough choice for any one.
The L8’s new lineup, as stated above, was aimed at good price for nearly the best, and that’s what they have, with the price starting at €69.99 (inc. VAT) for the 430 Watts, €89.90 for 530 Watts, €99.99 for 630 Watts, and the top model of 730 Watts goes at €109.90.
As for the refresh of the L7, the 630 Watts will be at approximately €74.90 while the 730 Watts will be at €89.90.
All of the above are shipping now.
