be quiet! Dark Base 700 Chassis Review

Complete System
Building a system inside the Dark Base 700 couldn’t have been easier. Everything on this chassis is precision engineered, and it shows in the final product. Cable management was super easy, and while I didn’t need the pop-out mounts or all the grommets, it’s more than capable of holding a lot more hardware.
There’s lots of room here for a multi-GPU setup, and those extra vertical mounts are a welcome bonus. There’s plenty of width also, so water cooling hardware should have room to manoeuvre.
I could remove part of the PSU cover to pass to GPU power cables, but I liked the cleaner look.
Pretty much any enthusiast air cooler on the market will fit here. Of course, if you’re eager to mount AIO or custom loop, you’ll find extensive mounting options for that too.
There’s more clearance at the front than you’ll ever need. Mounting the biggest graphics card in the world should be easy, even with thick radiators in the front panel.
Time To Add The Glass
With the window back in place, the jet black interior vanishes, keeping the build looking super clean. The hardware, such as the GPU and CPU cooler catch the light well, and your build will look fantastic, just like ours does. Now there’s only one more thing to do, fire up the lighting!
Turn on the Power!
The front panel has a multi-colour LED strip running from top to bottom, with some wrap around the top panel and the bottom feet. There’s a strip on each side too, giving you great looks from either side. Pictures speak a thousand words, so you don’t need me to tell you what the colours look like. However, keep in mind you can change the colours from the front panel, and even turn them off if you so desire.
