There’s no shortage of extremely potent power supplies these days, with enthusiast systems capable of drawing 1000-2000W with ease. All it takes is one or two high-powered processors, a bank of enthusiast-grade storage devices, and a couple of powerful modern graphics cards for gaming or rendering. At 1600W the Dark Power Pro 13 is likely overkill for your standard PC gaming build, but if you intend on equipping yourself with nothing but the latest and greatest hardware, it looks set to be a prime choice for those who simply want the best of the best.

Just a heads up, we haven’t done a PSU review for some time now, as our old testing hardware went to Silicon Heaven. So in the past, we never could review a unit as potent as the Dark Power Pro 13 1600W, so this should be pretty interesting to test!
