be quiet! Dark Rock Slim CPU Cooler Review

Performance
A key factor to note before we get to the temperature and acoustic performance is a brief reminder that this is a slim profile air cooler. As such, it’s importantly to understand that this isn’t a huge as many other ‘high-performance’ air coolers and, in theory, should not perform as well.
One key factor to start with, however, is that whether it was in standard stock operation or overclocked, the noise levels produced by the fan were amazingly low. While not necessarily the best we’re seen, considering how effectively hard these are having to work with such a small cooler, it’s truly impressive (again) at just how good the Silent Wings 3 fan actually is.
Looking at the temperatures, the figures only continue to impress. While the stock temperature results are excellent, it’s surprising to see how this cooler easily managed to cope with what is a rather terse overclock. Achieving a temperature of no greater than 64C for such a sleek product is excellent and clearly speaks of a fantastic design.
