be quiet!, the German manufacturer of premium PC components, has announced that it will ensure that its CPU coolers remain compatible with the latest socket designs. Therefore, with the upcoming release of Alder Lake-S just on the horizon, they have confirmed that they will be offering a free upgrade kit for many of its most popular cooling solutions to work trouble-free with the upcoming Intel LGA1700 socket.
In addition, throughout the course of 2022, all compatible coolers will include the new mounting material by default.
By simply showing proof of purchase of an Alder-Lake-S CPU or an LGA1700 mainboard as well as a compatible be quiet! cooler, customers will receive the conversion kit free of charge from be quiet!. An order form will be available on the be quiet! website at the launch of the new processor generation. In addition, there is the possibility to purchase the assembly kits (for those who perhaps have lost this information) for a small nominal fee.
Thanks to the new conversion kit, almost all of the current be quiet! air and water coolers can be used with Intel LGA1700 without any restrictions. The mounting kit is compatible with the following be quiet! cooler models:
At the time of writing, given that Alder Lake-S hasn’t yet been released, be quiet! has yet to launch its official website where users can apply for the upgrade kit (there is, after all, no need to apply yet given that you couldn’t possibly require it right now!). – If you do, however, want to learn more, they have set up a basic website covering all the key points and you can check that out via the link here!
