Performance

In terms of the fans, the performance offered by these new Light Wings products is absolutely fantastic. And as the brand name might’ve suggested, a huge aspect of these is an exceptionally low level of acoustic output. – Without a doubt, however, the key highlight undoubtedly has to go to those amazing ARGB lighting effects.

I’ve come across many fans with lighting effects before, but very few have approached a level of functionality and vibrancy even close to these. And in terms of noise? These are head and shoulders above practically anything else currently on the market. – So, as an upgrade to your case fans, or who knows, maybe your AIO radiator, these would undoubtedly be a fantastic choice!

Should I Buy One?

For as excellent as the be quiet! Light Wings fans are, both in terms of aesthetics and performance, I think the biggest problem these are going to see with consumers is the price point. There’s no getting around the fact that, comparatively speaking, these are quite expensive fans. – For the savvy consumer, however, they’ll know that, in the grand scheme of things, you tend to get what you pay for.

The triple packs clearly represent the best value, and I have no doubt that these will represent a huge upgrade for the vast majority of you reading this. The bottom line though is that I suspect many of the less well-informed consumers may spend less on an inferior product, and then probably regret it!

For a first swing by be quiet! into the realms of ARGB though, we’re very impressed!

Pros

  • Amazing ARGB lighting effects – Some of the best I’ve ever encountered
  • Strong levels of airflow
  • Whisper quiet levels of performance
  • An ideal replacement for case or radiator fans

Cons

  • None

Neutral

  • No manual ARGB controller is provided with the single packs. So be sure your motherboard has a (spare?) ARGB port
  • Perhaps a little too expensive for their own good
