How Much Does it Cost?
The be quiet! Light Wings White 120/140mm Fans are available now from Amazon and actually, quite a few other retailers too given they’re a big-name brand. Weirdly at the time of writing the 140mm are just £69.99 and the 120mm are £77.62. However, anything under £80 is certainly competitive given you get three fans in the box and an ARGB hub too.
Overview
There’s really not a lot to fuss about here, as be quiet! has once again absolutely nailed it. The fans are premium quality in every regard, and while they’re not “cheap” the price is overall pretty competitive when looking at the quality and prices we see from the likes of Thermaltake, Corsair, Cooler Master and any other big name really.
What really sets these fans apart, however, is their aesthetic. The clean white plastics are really crisp and smart looking. A lot of RGB fans feature transparent blades and glossy finishes to really make more use of the RGB. However, be quiet! stuck with a more muted look that I think looks more professional. The light ring is nice and thick and despite the rest of the fan not lighting up, the RGB really pops.
The attention to detail is nice though, and I appreciate that all cables and their headers are finished in white, which really completes the aesthetic. A lot of fans, even premium ones, slip on little details like this, so it really makes the difference for those reaching for a high standard in their build.
With 18 LEDs on the 120mm and 20 LEDs on the 140mm, you can create a plethora of complex lighting effects, patterns and transitions. Plus, with the included RGB hub, it’s really easy to command up to six fans at once. I would have liked the hub to also be a fan hub too, but I can appreciate that would have increased the price too.
With three fans in a pack, you can easily fill a full front panel on most PC cases, or go for a more common two fans in the front and one in the back. Personally, I do prefer the 140mm fans, but at the end of the day, your needs and case capabilities will vary. Regardless of what you choose, low noise and good airflow are on offer from either size.
