Now although I’m sure be quiet! won’t necessarily thank me for highlighting this point, as a direct comparison, the 360mm we reviewed here does clearly seem to represent the best overall value for money. It’s 120mm of extra cooler (plus another fan) for, basically, just another $25. With this in mind, the 360mm variant does seem to represent the best choice!

Albeit, your pick will, of course, depend on exactly what size your case can handle. And if a 360mm is too big, you clearly have other options available in the series that will undoubtedly perform nearly as well as this one! – Not to mention, of course, that this comes with a hub controller which hardly any of its supposed competition does!

With the added ARGB lighting too, this really does look to represent a total package that attempts to please everyone, and against the usual remit of this adage, actually succeeds in my opinion.

As noted earlier in the review, I think a better balance between temperature control and acoustics can be found through a tweak with the BIOS PWM settings, but even if you don’t bother, or simply prefer the amazingly low levels of noise, the be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX clearly represents a premium AIO cooling solution.

Should I Buy One?

Compared to other 360mm AIO cooling solutions, the be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX clearly isn’t an inexpensive choice. The thing to remember though is that unlike much of its so-called competition, the be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX hasn’t been created to be cheap. It’s a premium-level solution that offers some of the best features and functionality currently on the market.

No, be quiet! going down the ARGB road isn’t going to please everyone. For those consumers though, they have and offer plenty of products that just look to focus on outright performance without the razzle-dazzle. As someone who isn’t an overly huge fan of light shows though, I’m genuinely impressed with what the be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX offers.

The be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX isn’t just an amazing and exceptionally component CPU cooler, but it also offers a bright and vibrant level of ARGB aesthetics. – be quiet! may have held out longer than others when it came to ARGB, but products like this clearly show it was well worth the wait!

Pros

• Amazingly strong levels of CPU temperature control with barely audible acoustic output
• Bright and vibrant ARGB lighting effects. – Some of the best around at the moment
• Entirely viable as an overclocking solution
• Total quality throughout the design – A premium product in every respect
• Hub controller included helping you get everything hooked up (very useful for a 360mm AIO with ARGB)

Cons

• No manual RGB controller. Although the hub controller can provide a default lighting effect through the general power of the SATA socket, if you don’t have an ARGB-compatible motherboard, you won’t be able to cycle through the patterns

Neutral

• I think the savvy owner will want to look to have a play with the BIOS PWM settings. There’s a great balance to be found by trading off a little noise for what I suspect will be even better temperature control
• Probably a bit too expensive for the casual consumer
• be quiet! once again contrives to make installation harder than it needs to be with a methodology that, although massively better than prior designs, still needs improvement!
